Effective date: May 8, 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how AutoA11y (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information when you visit our website, create an account, purchase or trial our products, or otherwise interact with our online services (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

This policy is designed for a software-as-a-service and eCommerce context. Depending on your location, additional rights may apply; see Section 10.

2. Information we collect

2.1 You provide directly

  • Account details such as name, email address, organization, and credentials.
  • Billing and payment information processed by our payment processors (we typically receive limited card data, such as brand and last four digits).
  • Support and communications content you send us (for example, messages submitted through our contact form or email).

2.2 Automatically collected

  • Device and usage data such as IP address, browser type, operating system, pages viewed, referring / exit pages, and timestamps.
  • Diagnostics, error reports, and security-related events to operate and protect the Services.

3. How we use information

  • Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Services.
  • Create and manage accounts, process transactions, send transactional emails, and provide customer support.
  • Measure usage, analyze trends, and improve performance, reliability, and user experience.
  • Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, security incidents, and technical issues.
  • Comply with law, enforce our terms, and protect rights, safety, and property.
  • Send optional marketing or product updates where permitted and with appropriate choices to opt out.

Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on one or more of the following: performance of a contract with you; legitimate interests that are not overridden by your rights (for example, securing our Services and improving them); consent where required; and legal obligation.

5. Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers who assist us (for example, hosting, analytics, payment processing, email delivery, and customer support tools), subject to appropriate safeguards and instructions. We may disclose information if required by law, to respond to lawful requests, or to protect AutoA11y, our users, or the public. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, preferences, security, analytics, and (where applicable) advertising measurement. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Where required, we will obtain consent before non-essential cookies or similar tracking.

7. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary depending on the nature of the data and our relationship with you.

8. Security

We implement administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. International transfers

We may process information in countries other than where you live. When we transfer personal data from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland to other countries, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or other lawful transfer mechanisms, as required by applicable law.

10. Your privacy rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent where processing is consent-based; and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Residents of certain U.S. states may have additional rights under state privacy laws. To exercise these rights, contact us as described in Section 14. We may need to verify your request before responding.

11. Children

The Services are not directed to children under 16 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

12. Third-party links and services

Our Services may link to third-party websites or integrate third-party tools. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We encourage you to read those policies before providing information to third parties.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the effective date. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice where required by law.
